The SDS Senior Worker will be responsible for the line management of the Self Directed Support (SDS) staff and the effective day to day delivery of the SDS service at an operational level. To ensure that outcomes are delivered in line with individual SDS packages, Adult Social Care , commissioners , partners and organisational expectations.
Purpose of the role
To ensure that all organisational, service and other specific systems, policies and procedures are understood, adhered to and periodically reviewed by the SDS staff team.
To liaise closely with all appropriate stakeholders (SDS service user, Adult Social Care workers, and family members) and SDS staff team member in the design of a quality, recovery-focused SDS individual support package.
To be responsible for the management, recruitment, induction and co-ordination of staff to meet service user requirements.
You will need to have experience of managing and leading people either in a work or voluntary capacity, also working with people with challenging behaviour. You will need to have experience of working with service users who experience mental health problems and/or other difficulties. Excellent knowledge of mental health practice issues and SDS is essential along with knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
